tomato clown

I have bought a pair of tomato clown this weekend. The female went right into the BTA, and pretty much stays there. She hasn't allowed the male to join her in the BTA, but seems okay with him in the tank. She swims with him and he does that shakey movement when she approaches. I figured it'd take a little while before he'll join her in the BTA, but was wondering how long? What are your experiences?

My GSM male is hardly ever in the BTA; though always nearby. The only time I really catch him in it is at night, when she's sleeping on the mouth of the BTA, because of it's vertical vice horizontal foothold, he's sleeping on the top. Morning comes, and he meanders over into the rocks nearby.

It took my pair of tomato's about 6 months before she would let the male in the anemone, Then once she did the RBTA split and they both had there own home...

Good Luck, here's a pic of mine after it split...

I had a tomato for about 3 months, it never took to an anemone....it also went back to the LFS after I inherited the GSM pair.

Thanks for the information. The male hangs out near by, but never attempts to go near the BTA. I figured it'd take a while, or maybe she'll never let him.
