yes
1) highly territorial
2) will attack the hand that feeds it, then expect the hand to feed it
3) will demand respect from all other fish if they have an anemone
4) will spawn every 14 to 18 days if feed well, given good environment, and have an anemone (they like BTAs a lot) and are noticably happier when they have an anemone to cuddle with
5) become even more aggressive when protecting eggs and an anemone
6) female will keep the hubby in line, allows him to eat, tolerates his staying home in the anemone, but will punish him from time to time just to make sure he remembers who is in charge
7) in turn the male will do his best to convince his wify that he is watching over the eggs. He will fan their eggs well, but will often wait for the female to swim near the eggs and then fan them furiously until she leaves. He lives in awe and fear of his matriarch.
I love my tomatoes and would never part with them. It was so funny and amazing to see how she treated him during the pairing process. How she beat on him, and he would dance like Michael Jackson in order not to be pummled; and in then end, she turned him into "A MADE MAN".
If you have never created your own pair of mated clowns (particularly tomatoe clowns), you don't know what you are missing. You need to make a tank just for them and then tape it, it is so wicked to watch.
Good luck, Kevin
