Tomatoe/Ocellaris breeding!

Funny part of this whole experience is i never set out to breed them. I have 2 oscelaris in with my seahorses and i was hoping that they would breed. I got a good look at one of the fry tonight and its developing 2 stripes like the oscelaris and seems to have the same coloration. Maybe itll be shaped like mama? :) I cant wait to get my cam back! On a good note it was delivered to the place thats fixing it today :)

Well, Onyx clowns take up to 4 years from birth till theya re ready to reproduce. Some one told me it's hard to get Black Ocellaris clowns to breed, but that may not be ture.
 
I think what he was saying is that an onyx is a percula and that the black and orange ocellaris are the same species not that the onyx and ocellaris are the same.
 
Black/white occellaris are hard to get spawning they are like the onyx clowns. very stubborn and take very long time before they think they are ready. but when have our fish ever been on the same page as we are? im going to take a some of chris's babies and school them with a few b/w occ's and see what happens i have a 300g tank so i should be able to get some nice pairing ill take 1 of chris's and get a b/w i mean they would hopefully pair off
 
heres a new thought: what if the babies are not fertile and cannot produce offspring. i mean ive heard of FW crossbreeds that become infertile and the genitic line dies off with the original breeders.
just some food for thought since you guys were considering breeding
 
Clowns live for what 12 years??? i think i heard that, dont quote me, i know im wrong. but for that long i wouldnt car if i had a unique clown. CB747 put me on the list for one offspring please.

I would not care if they breeded or not, I am not in this for money. It is a relaxing thing for me to sit down next to the tank to read, ang glance ant the tank so.....
 
The clowns are going thru metamorprisis. I have 3 that resemble Oscelaris and 4 that havent gone thru the change yet. Im hoping to get my camera back by the end of the week. As soon as i do i will take new pictures and post them for you guys to see :)
