Tomini Tang tail Spike

My fish seems to have a very odd problem right now. Somehow, one of his tail spikes seems to be stuck out. Out as in almost perpendicular to his body. He's swimming around, doing his thing and doesn't seem bothered by it at all, but I'm concerned as he's my favorite fish.

Has anyone else had a Tang have this happen? Do you think it will return to the correct position on it's own? I'll try to get a picture but he's always been a very active fish.

I have seen it before and I suspect it is due to some sort of trauma to the spine or somethings else. From what I have seen, it corrects itself eventually.
