Since live aquaria says these only get 6 inches, i was wondering if I could hve one in a 40 breeder.

Live aquaria also lists minimum as 75 gallons, even though it is one of the smallest tangs it still needs a 4 foot long tank. A more appropriate sized fish would be a dwarf angelfish

I wouldn't, I have one in an eight foot tank and it's all over the place swimming constantly.

+1. Even some of the dwarf angels are not suitable for 3ft tanks.

Never seen a tomini anywhere close to 6", with that said a 40g isn't a good tank for any tang
