Tomorrows arrival...

I ordered a blue spotted jawfish which is coming tomorrow. I plan on securing that tank so that it can not jump out.

I just read a thread that has me concerned. Am I going to have a hard time keeping this fish?

I was reading the can be hard to keep and do not do well in captivity.

They can be tough due to jumping and the need for very deep soft sand for burrowing.

Mixed substrate is better. They need small shells and such to construct their burrows. Not too aweful bad to keep. Fun to watch but they seem to find even the smallest openings to jump through if you are not careful.

Ok, I feel a bit better. Thanks lpsluver. I have mostly soft sand and just added recently small shells to the top layer of sand.
