Yes I noticed that the peppermint shrimp will only go after the small aptaisa. When Aptasia gets big, I noticed that the peppermint shrimp will just pick at the aptasia.

I also had bought Live Rock from the LFS and had a bit of Aiptasia problem. I asked him what to do about it and he gave me a bottle of Joe's Juice. Problem solved. Just follow the instruction on the box and they will be gone. You just feed them the Juice and they die! Well at least mine did. Good Luck...

I like to use the boiling water treatment on the bastartds myself. It doesn't work quite as well as the Joe's juice but it's much more gratifying!!!!!

TAnks with liverock should have peppermint shrimp imo.

if you have a phosphate test kit, one of the chemicals is surfuric acid. works wonders on a lone aptisia in seconds!!! also disolves the surrounding rock and kills or burns anything it touches before dilution into the surrounding water. i dont recomend adding this to the reef, instead add 1 drop on the aptisia out of the water over a bowl of water. rinse and add back to tank.

dont get this on your fingers. works on fingers as well as on aptisia.
