Im setting up a 180 gal 6x2x2 tank (with 5x2x2 sump) and I'm looking at this fish list for the big uns, just wondering whether this will be too many fish. The plan is to upgrade (isnt it always :spin1:) but that wont be for years (3-4).

2 majestic angels
scribbled angel
regal angel
blue tang ( i know this guy gets BIG)
tenneti tang
japonicus powder brown tang

You expect us to know, what the fish of the future will be like?

I dont know what you're getting at? To reword the question, will these fish be ok in this tank for 3-4 years...

The blue tang is also called a hippo or regal tang on here, sorry for the confusion, but i'm guessing the answer will be the same.

My bad! Sorry, I misunderstood, that the 180g was to be the upgrade in 3-4 years.

So, with that in mind, 4 angels and 3 tangs will outgrow a 180g in less than 3 years...I think you should think closer to 4, MAYBE 5 of them, for now.

IMO the hippo is much better than a Carib. Blue, which gets very large and aggressive.

The tenneti also gets larger than the regal tang
