Too much flow?

I'm new to this so I don't know what might be causing tissue loss from my acros. I had two different acros which were in direct flow that basically lost their skin. Is this common with too much flow, or could it be a wayward hermit crab munching?

I caught one of my hermits eating the acro's skin but it could have just been because it was already dying. Any thoughts?

what are your parameters? powerheads?
acro in the direct path of a powerhead~ not a good idea.
could be that the hermit crab is munching on algae growing on the dead skin
try to be more detailed as possible

Give your acros indirect flow, direct flow will easily peel the skin off of many acropora.

My electric blue is always crawling on my sps. doesnt harm them from what i can see. Since they are opportunistic feeders, I'd like to believe they're eating pests.
