too much flow?

would it be too intense to run two water pumps in a biocube 29g? i just ordered a rio hf6 which flows at 350 g/hr. I was thinking of using it as a powerhead inside the display tank, while still running the stock oem pump. any ideas? thanks

IMO you'll be fine. What does that stock pump put out? 20 times turnover would be around 480gph i think...and i personally like going to at least 25x turnover, so you'll be well off in my opinion.

i believe the stock pump that comes with the oceanic biocube is ~2xx gallons per hour. I was thinking of having BOTH pumps run concurrently in the tank

wait...whats the gallons per hour on the stock pump?

And yes, having both running at the same time is what i meant...should be fine. I think it will put you around like 25 times turnover or somewhere near that.

How you angle them makes a big difference too.. Some corals/fish etc. will love to be right in the flow, others out of the way a bit. Low flow areas would be good to maintain for those that need it. Other than that I don't think any of this will be a problem.
