Too much light, or not enough light?

First I'll start off with some tank specs. 5g, 10w Coralife 50/50 bulb, about 75 degrees still in cycle but past it's big spike and coming down. Lighting schedule is 12/12

Well I'm learning that feather caulerpa doesn't like my 5g planted tank . I'm having a little difficulty with Graciliaria and green grape too.

The prolifera is doing great and there is seagrass in the tank as well that is doing fabulous.

The light only goes through 7" of water because of the DSB. Could the light just be to intense directly underneath it for the macros? The algaes that are around the front and sides seem to be doing well, and most of the seagrass is directly underneath the light and doing well.

Am I doing something wrong? I don't have a green thumb?

Well more specific
Salinity: 1.021
Nitrate: 40
Nitrite: 3
Alkalinity: 300
Ph: 8.4
temps range from 74-79 no heater

The light is 50% 10k and 50% Actinic. The package says 10w Mini PC puts out light like a 50w incadescent light.

Thanks for the links Samala! I wish I knew someone on the east coast that could go eelgrass hunting for me.
