Too much light or not enough? Sb reef light

Corals don't seem happy at all and I just want to rule out that maybe it's the settings on my light. It's a sb reef light 165 watt. Similar to a Mars aqua but different spectrum. When I first got the light things seemed great corals opened right up. Now all my zoas and hammers are in pretty rough shape, mostly closed. Been about 2 months like this. I usually run lights 10% white and 30% blue or so. Tried higher but it seems like it makes thing worse but I honestly can't tell. What would you guys run the setting at? The tank is a 15 gallon front. Light is 9in off the water. 24in total distance to substrate.

Not familiar with that light but you should post "actual" water parameters to rule anything else out. Don't just post what you think they should be or what they were last week.

Here is a pic of some of the zoas. Too much light or not enough?

Was just trying to get an idea of appropriate settings. 1.025 salinity, 2 ppm nitrate, 7 dkh. Water changes once a month or so of 30 percent. That's all I'm really testing for on a regular basis

Zoas don't look bad in pic to me. High light= fast death, low light slow death. Under low light zoa and palys will extend to try to reach light. I'd get good test kits and test for more parameters

In a 10g tank with a 165w led fixture there is no question you can overpower it and do damage to corals. I seriously doubt that at your current settings of 10% white and 30% blue that you are in any danger.

Up until a week ago I was running a 165w led (Ocean Revive T247) over a 2'x2'x10" frag tank. Now the fixture was 2' off the water which is quite high, but I like having room to work in the tank and it's in a spare room so the light spill isn't a concern. I ran that fixture at 10% white and 90% blue and had a PAR of 250 at the frag rack. I keep everything from zoas & palys to high end acro and they all have done just fine. BTW, I just swapped out the OR T247 for a ReeFi-Lab pendant led that has way more blue, violet and true UV than white leds. So far I'm liking the fixture a lot and the owner of the company has been very helpful with a small quality issue I had with the plastic case.

I'd be looking for other issues beyond the light if I was in your position.
