Low maintenance first
When I got it, it was dark brown. It turned lighter over time, and acquired a greenish tinge. I thought it was coloring up with good light. So I placed it under the light, more than 1' deep under 250W DE MH 20000K bulb. It got even lighter, but I don't see more green (if not less).
