Several posts lately have started with good intentions and rapidly degraded into pointless arguements. I dont think it makes you appear clever to up your number of posts by posting irrelevant things. Also it wastes peoples time because they check a seemingly interesting thread and find that it has been updated for less than interesting reasons.

I know its a free virtual world, but it is nicer when the boards have a "club" feeling with people helping each other.

I am going to get slated now.

I totally agree w/ you. There is nothing I find more annoying then trying to read through a thread that looks good but its tainted w/ bickering people

Yup, good point. :)

Thanx for bringing it up.

I don't know if it is my place to say this or not so please excuse me if I offend, however I think that some newcomers have been turned away due to the readiness of some to jump all over their case due their not "being up" on the rules of clown speaking so to speak...

I think collectively we can all improve and create a better environment for people to ask questions without worrying about getting slammed for having a differing opinion or not knowing "some basic" things about keeping clowns..

Just my .02

Again I apologize if I offended...

Point folks back to the FAQ's instead of getting frustrated by repeated questions.

Above all: Be tolerant of opinions, including those of "experienced keepers." Even they are learning every day, while we all try to get better at caring for our critters.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

For a long time I was reluctant to spend a lot of time posting here for this reason, but I've come to realize that no matter what site I frequent I will run into this wherther it be someone who is just in a bad mood, is misunderstood or is just a flaming idiot. This is a huge site with a lot of passionate people talking about what they love and many of them reach the same goal in different ways. With that being the case, there will always be differences of opinion. The best you can hope to do is to moderate the ones who make it personal.
