Too much Tunze flow?

A very knowledgeable person I know in this hobby says two things about reef aquaria...

1) There is no such thing as too many snails in a reef

and

2) There is no such thing as too much FLOW in a reef...but there IS such a thing as MISdirected flow.

With all that said, in a 350 gallon 11 foot tank, would 5 x 6100's PLUS 2 modded 6025's be a tad too much? How would YOU place them if they aren't 'too much'? I was thinking about spreading them out along the back wall...but as the SPS grow tall, they will block the flow. Plus I want some flow in the front. Maybe put them at the ends? Would 2 6100's on each end produce any flow towards the middle of such a tank?

Any ideas/suggestions would be awesome!

Thanks in advance,
Pete

i personally would probally go 2 on each end and 2 in the middle back facing towards the front of the tank, also i dont think i would bother with the 6025's in a tank of your size

I agree with green frogspawn. 4 6100 or 6101 should be plenty. More pumps= more heat and more techincal equipment in the tank.
