Yesterday my friend and I packed my kids in the car and took a little drive in search of (hopefully) a great reef shop. I have to admit i've never been to Van Etten before, and i was a little worried about what i would find. It turns out that these guys have some INCREDIBLE corals! I was truely amazed! The other 2 stores in Elmira really are going to loose a lot of business once these guys get moved and set up. There was 2 very awesome reef tanks set up, and a 4' x 4' shallow lookdown frag tank that was completely packed with brighter colors than i've ever seen around here! They had a very awesome filtration room for the 2 reef tanks! Also if you need a fish, they most likely will get it for you and they have a mandatory quarantine of 3-4 weeks in a holding tank with UV to rid of any problems before you get your fish. I love this idea, and it allows them to actually have a "warranty" on the fish that you get! No one around here does that! I finally found my "Diamond In The Rough" and i will be taking many many more trips out there in the future. It's only about 30 min from Elmira, and maybe 35 from Watkins Glen area. Well worth my time, and the guys running it are just happy to talk to fellow reefers. I suggest that everyone who can make a trip out there should do it!
