Took this off my Montipora Danae*PIC'S

I have the same ones as you Rick all over in my tanks and never seen any problem at all, maybe another species or something, but they are small and oval just like that. Montis are doing great too. Let me know what you find out. I don't know how to get rid except maybe interceptor?

I acquired mine from an iodine dip to see if I could catch the microscopic culprit. I will have access to a microscope with picture taking technology on monday and I will post the pics when I have further analysis of this critter. I am also working on finding the Phylogeny of this creature to identify its location, feedings, taxonomy, and etc. I will keep updating as I go.

Ive seen them in my tank as well...Never saw any destruction on my montis and i have several....

I just took a look at some frag discs and underneath only one there was like 6 and about 50 pods...

I hope they aren't bad.

6 line wrasse's will generally eat the bad ones.. 12 line and 8 line,, same thing... there not all bad.. just the ones that jump on yer fish!

Still doing research on this critter as he is the only potential lead for a cause for the destruction of my montipora throughout my system. Not in any other tank I have, just this one.
