I never knew what my corals looked like from the top until today. Still need some time to fine tune but I used an acrylic tube and took some quick photos. No tweaking in iPhoto other than cropping on a couple.

I did not. This the first time I have used the acrylic lens tube. I'm going to play with it a little more this weekend. I think I can get the pictures much better.

I love top down shots!

So, just how did you get up so high to take these pics on a 30" tall tank? I'd have to go in the attic and cut a hole in the ceiling above my tank to get top down shots.

It's funny how the coral always looks so much better top down. I look in my tank from the front and I'm like ehh. Then look from the top and I'm amazed. I wonder why this is?

What do your other pectinias look like?

One is a space invader, one is a golden boy, and the other is just a plain no name pectina that is green, blue and vanilla. They are easy to grow but have huge/long potent sweepers at night. JP

Great pics! Beautiful corals! May I ask what kind of lighting you are using. I have a 30 inch 150 gallon that I'm setting up so looking at lighting ideas. Thank you in advance.
