Top Fin aquarium?

Who manufactures Top Fin aquariums? Are they safe to use as a sump? Anything I should be aware of?

I am using a top fin aquarium for my 20L show tank and its been fine.

I have a TopFin 55g as my sump. So far, so good. Pretty inexpensive at Petsmart.

Its a brand that Petsmart only sells. Fine to use as a sump (or a display for that matter).

Check my gallery --inexpensive and excellent 60g tank --no problems. wished they made bigger sizes --I'd go 125.

Can you drill the sides? I know the bottom is tempered for sure.

My 55G FOWLR is a TopFin. Tank is a little over a year old and has been fine. Edges are not as smooth as an Oceanic nor is the glass as thick but I gambled and thus far haven't had a problem.

One day when I trade up to a 75G or greater I'll use it as a sump or fuge or quarantine.

I used to work at petsmart when I was in highschool ( about 12 years ago ) their top fin tanks are fine for display. I would just be a little cautious in drilling one as they do have thin glass, but if these guys say they are fine then go for it.

I noticed they have a 47g cube with a fairly attractive stand pretty cheap last night.

Top Fin Tanks is made by Perfecto exclusively for Petsmart but with the Top Fin Brand on them.

I figured that --since every company is connected in some way. I noticed the frame design was the same. I believe perfecto is made by marineland too

All Glass Brand and Oceanic merged and Marineland, API, IO & perfecto merged, It seems all the big company's are merging now. I just hope they don't start raising prices now that there is less compotion.

Yeah. I spoke to PetSmart yesterday and they told me it was by Perfecto. Temper glass bottom and all sides are regular glass.
