Topic- OZONE do you need it?

so those of you who got the redsea units (grayout, s10willy) how has your tanks improved? Do you see any difference it coral extension or water clarity?

I finally got the air pump and hooked up the unit last night. Very straight forward, easy process. The trial and error part is going to be dialing in the air pump to get the skimmate at the level I want. I can't comment on the clarity yet since the lights were off when I came in to work. I do know that I perceived the tank to be clearer when I looked from end to end, and my ORP raised 10 points over night. I hope to see the clarity difference when I get home tonight.

Before I started using ozone my rose anemone was very long and stringy- after I started it got very bulbous... looks great! The only thing that didn't seem to like it as much was my Kenya Tree (Xenia loved it).

Clarity and absence of diatoms is what i noticed right away!
My ORP went from 270 to almost 400 in a couple weeks.

Ozone Safety Warning thread

Ozone Safety Warning thread

This is a thread in the main reef forum. Randy Holmes-Farley posted the link (he's a chemist) and is generally fairly on top of things "chemical".

Here's the link: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=789282

I also have an enaly unit for sale (I shut down my fish only tank and it was running on that -- I'm not selling it because of the thread).
