I've had this frag for over a month now.
It was doing fine in QT, and I moved it over about 2 weeks ago.
Over the last few days I've noticed that part of one branch, seems to have started to "discolor."
Not sure what this means. Have anyone ever seen this before? Is it bleaching or is there too much flow (its moving with constant flow, but I don't think it is too much flow)?
I purchased it at a LFS, and everything else in the tank is fine.
I checked the parameters, they are fine as well.
The only other thing that comes to mind is... a few days ago I poured in some RO water directl into the tank (no sump on this tank) after coming back from a trip (the ATO system had some problems). Some of the RO water may have came in contact with the coral before mixing completely. I doubt this could have been the catalyst (since the branch right next to it is fine), but thought I'd mention it.
BTW, I've been dosing phyto about 2x a week, should I be feeding more often perhaps or spot feeding (I've read that some people spot feed torch coral!?)
(the tank (40g) does not have too many coral in it at this time)?
