I've looked around for threads on this topic, but not really found anything particularly helpful. I have a large 20 plus head torch that has been in my system for 5 years (with 3 heads initially). Over the last year it has gradually been losing heads, and always in the same way. The polyps gradually lose their color (though never go completely white), shrink in size then eventually die. It is not a water chemistry problem, nor flow, nor light. I believe it to be some kind of disease since frags of this colony in tanks on the same system have also been affected. None of the hammer or frogspawn are afflicted though.
