I have a torch coral that does not see my o open up much at all.

My tank is a biocube 29. About a year old.

No3 - 5ppm
Kh - 9.3
Ca - 400
Mg - 1250

Lighting is a radion xr15 at 40%. The coral is medium low level in the tank with medium flow.

I have had the frag about 4 months and it has since split into three small heads. The feelers are also splitting but it never seems to extend much.

I have tried less light , more light , and less flow and it just gets more ****ed off when moved so I have stopped.

Any suggestions?

if it's splitting it's growing leave it alone. Torch's are very particular about flow they will recede over time with linear flow. they do really well with reef crest/Else mode if you have a wavemaker. or 2 ph's creating some varied flow

. it looks good to me try feeding it maybe get some extension. edit pick an intensity and stick with it can really stress coral out lowering and relocating
