Torch coral placement

Is it ok to place a green tip torch coral on the sand bed ?,, I have 96w T5 HO lighting,, and the tank is about 18 inch deep...

Probably. Just don't let the soft tissue get in the sand. Torches can be sensitive.

I also find that my torch coral does the best out of direct flow--too much flow and it wont open to it fullest.

i bought one...and i had read moderate to high light moderate to strong current...

followed the directions and found out that it only opens fully when its low on the rocks (i have no sand) far from the light and in the spot where theres JUST ENOUGH water current to gently move the tentacles around.


one of my branches died but the other is doing great...i found out that once it opens a bit not even completely if you feed it itll eat and from then on be much more extended...
