Torch has been more and more retracted

I've had a torch coral for around 3 months now. The first month and a half it was great however lately it has been getting more and more retracted. I have checked and double checked all parameters and they are as shown.
Ammonia 0
Nitrate .25ppm (almost undetectable on salifert)
Phosphate around .05ppm
Cal 430
Alk 4.2 meq/l
Mag 1300
Lighting is 4x54w T5HO w/ 40 1w led supplements

I have tried moving it to different flow positions and it has not gotten any better.
The only other thing I've noticed is that my gold rim tang has been caught picking at it a few times. Anyone ever heard of gold rims doing this?
Im assuming that at this point that since everything else looks good it must be the tangs nipping keeping it from coming out. I have just tried upping his nori intake and we will see if that helps but anyone have any other ideas?

What kind of LEDs are those? Sometimes my Ecoxotic LEDs - also 1w - were simply too bright for the torch in my tank, and I wound up dimming them after losing a head. What kind of flow do you have? Moderate, indirect flow is best - think gentle waving in the breeze.

My torch coral has been doing the same exact thing. Two of the heads don't fully go out as fast as the other heads and the torch tends to close up right before the lights go out and stay that way all night.

Flow is a mag 9.5 return 2 koralia 1050s and a koralia 600. I have tried moving it to differing flow area of the tank with no change. Right now it is in an area as you described, moderated flow that circulates. Leds are similar to as you described and didn't try dimming but I figured if I moved them to the sand bed it would achieve the same result as dimming but there was none.

Not always the case. LEDs are like moon beams. Dimmer would be best. Or use a screen between the lights & the water.

I may try dimming them. I've been feeding the tang heavier the last few days and have not caught him in the act yet. Also did a stray voltage test and found my mag return pump was leaking 75v into the tank. Have a replacement waveline dc pump on the way.
