Torch receding

Had this torch frag for about six weeks. It has slowly receded to where the extension is minimal. Any ideas on what to do?

When I first got my torch from a local it was like that, got it home and moved it to a medium-high flow area with good lighting and fed it frozen mysis and cyclopeze once or twice a week. 2 months fast forward the tentacles trippled in length and it opens up now when my lights come on.

Try moving it to a new position in the tank to change the flow and lighting. You also didn't mention your water parameters so that could be an issue as well. He's not happy for a reason and you just need to figure out why. Good luck.

I bought a new torch 2 week ago and placed it high in the tank for strong lighting and slightly close to a circulation pump for moderate flow. This is the advice of online coral sellers. It has receded and colors have faded.

Now after reading the forums about torch placement and flow, many say they like low-moderate lighting and flow. Today I put my torch at the bottom of the tank for low flow and moderate lighting. I should have done this at the beginning just like I do with all new corals, lesson learned.
