I'm new to the hobby and have a 29gal biocube with the plans of a nano reef. I added my first coral, a torch, about 3 days ago. I had to adjust my where my powerhead were at first because it was getting too much flow but once I got it settled in it looked like it fully extended and plumped up and looked happy.
Last night I got home and 1 of the heads was mostly retracted and after a while it started spitting out some red looking stuff into the water. After another hour or so it started to extend again. The other heads stayed extended the whole time. Today it looks normal and extended again.
Any idea what happened?
