Torch Separating!?!?

I'm struggling with this one.

really startign to think there are two issues that are unrelated.

I think so too. I still have LPS thriving. I'll give details to your questions as soon as I can.

MoonLightDriver, you may want to start a new thread... It will help your cause to give a little more history than you'll get out in a highjack...

Matt

I took a step back and to get a better view. With out boring everyone, I'm currently contributing the SPS issues with inconsistent/fluctuations of my parameters. I found...

1. Bad Calcium test kit
2. Inconsistencies with my testing (specifically the piston in the syringe)
3. Previous parameter issues catching up with me (bad pump over dosing)
4. Not dosing anywhere near equal amounts 2 part, related to the pump over dosing... (started noticing percip on LR)
5. Increase in large water changes throwing off dialed in dosing pump.

I still have to pull out my BM dosing pump and check it for accuracy.

Because all my other LPS is still thriving, I think the torch just got caught at an angle and was damaged when I moved it to the other side of the tank for a week.

I actually made the decision to downgrade the size of my tank for a while before I posted this thread. Something a little more maintain with my schedule... I'm very excited about the new set up, stay tuned for the build thread. (If I see any solid signs of pests, I'll treat before or during the tank transfer.)

If I remember right and I'm at work so no time to confirm but you should not have nitrite registering at all after the initial cycle. You say it was at .025.
