Tort with table growth????

I try to avoid the "please ID this" type of subject, but this particular sps colony has had me wondering. I've had it for almost 3 years now, and unlike any of the many other torts I own this seems to grow and grow in a table growth pattern. So I'm wondering if it's really a tort at all. Does anyone else have a tort that grows like this? If not a tort.....any guesses as to what it might be? This was the best top down shot I could get of it.

Torts., will change shapes depending on locations and flow in the tank. My Oregon tort. this one located pretty close to the edge of my rock work,receives flow from the top & bottom.

I guess that explains the growth pattern then. This colony also gets flow from the top and bottom. Makes me think I might want to put my Oregon Tort in the same type location. menard...yours looks pretty cool growing out like that! And thanks for the info.
