total carnage?

I currently have a 75 gallon softie reef. I just lost some xenia, and I don't feel like adding any new corals. I have some mushrooms and polyps left, and a bunch of small hermits and snails. I currently have a yellow tang, 1 false percula, 3 blue-green chromis, a spotted watchman goby, and a small sixline wrasse. Could I add a huma huma trigger? Or will he wreak havoc on everyone.

Thanx for your help!

If you add the huma, all of your crabs and snails will be gone within a week.. I made that mistake. Never again.

Depending on the size of the snails, and hermit(s). Red-Starry hermits get huge, and the Hummu would have to catch it off guard in order to eat it. IMO Wrasses are the most proficient at taking out hermits, and snails. If a hermit is tucked in they simply dig under the hermit, and flip them upside down. Once exposed, they're finished. Also Hummu's aren't the most reef-safe fish, your corals will more than likely be chewed on.

my humu never bothered any of my corals . it was the puffer that went gonzo and ate everything over night

Do humus ever attack other fish?

Yes.

As mentioned it will also likely eat your corals and corallimorphs.

The large hermits are big enough to hold their own usually, until they molt. But if that's the kind of hermit crab, then the snails and corals will be taken care of before the Huma is in there.
