Total newbie needs directions.

Okay. So i just heard about the Tunze 6100s stream. I was told to use one or two of these instead of a bunch of power heads.

I do not know much about them and just need some general info. I looked at pictures of them and do not uderstand where they draw water from? and how is it that they can disperse the water through out the aquarium without moving?

Can someone explain? Also can they be used to draw water from the sump into the main tank or are they mainly for in tank circulation. I have a 100G with a 38G sump.
Still in the planning stages. I was planning on using 6 or so power heads.

Can 1 or two of these replace the 6 power heads? Will the stream be too powerfull for tank my size? Will one of these be enough? Any help you can give will be appreciated. Thanks

They draw water from the sides and blow it out the front. They create a 24" wide flow so that is how they cover most of the tank. The flow is very diffuse and because the presure is so low they will not work as a return pump. As for will they be two much and how many you will need that depends on tank dimensions and inhabitants.
