Trachyphillia Brain constant polyp extension

Hi folks,

Got a trachyphillia brain about a week ago. Seems to be doing well. The polyps always seem to be out regardless of the lights being on or off, even a day after feeding.

Is this anything to be concerned about? Good? Bad?

Also, I'm experimenting and running the the par32 led bulbs from Amazon on this tank. Does this PE indicate anything about too strong/weak lighting?

I'm not too familiar with the par32 bulbs, but as long this lighting is sufficient then what your seeing with the brain coral is nothing to be concerned about. Color loss, receding tissue etc is what you need to watch out for. GL.

Yeah it looks normal and happy. If you feed it, it might stop doing it for few days. But it would be perfectly healthy without any feeding.

As a note; that is not called polyp extension, it is the extension of feeding tentacles. Polyp extension is not generally used to describe LPS coral. PE is used to describe if SPS corals have their polyps out or not.
