The only area off the sand that would be shady would be too close to my hydnophora

Moved some things around. Got it up slightly and under an over hang. When I picked it up it did not feel fleshy at all. Very hard and the two mouths are now two holes

I'm having a similar problem with my two brains.
One is only a few weeks old, one i've had for well over a year.
The only thing different is i had to remove the gfo from my system because it was stripping nutrients. My sps were going pale, my gorgonians weren't extending polyps. Once i removed the gfo and started feeding more, all that reversed. But now my brains don't expand. They were doing great until now.

Radions Pros. Recently installed the wide angle lenses.
Same lights since I started the tank a year and a half ago.
My older one was 90% gone when I got it back from my coral babysitter between tanks, and it came back to almost 100% fully healthy and has been like that for at least 6 months. Odd that all of a sudden this one and the new one decided to close up.
Both brains are still not expanding.

I have never had a Trachyphyllia, but I do have a Symphyllia, and for what it's worth, I get a tremendous feeding response with Oyster Feast. The slightest whiff causes it to all but explode out its tentacles. A couple drops of OF with the actual food is a good combination. Some kind of target isolation feeder is helpful. Good luck.

Since moving the piece under a little over hang up off the sand. It seems a little better. Not completely puffy and full but looks a little better
