Trade Utter Chaos

Anyone out there have some fruit loops and/or some other choice coral/s they may want to trade for an utter chaos. I have a 3 polyp frag I'd be willing to part with for a good trade

I do, I do. LoL. bring them over I could use another frag of them to test out where in the tank they do the best. You know we'll find something you want. ;)

This coral does not like to be fragged or moved around so please be careful with it or it will melt. It doesn't like a lot of lights either. A had mine at the bottom of the tank when it was growing like weed.

Grant I owe Cody a solid so I'm going to trade with him for some fruit loops. Next time I Frag my Utter colony you'll be the first on the list.

Tom, my utter colony grew like a weed in the top third of my tank with moderate to high water flow. They seem to like high lighting and flow. I'm only running 150w MH. Started with 1 polyp about 8 months ago and now there are 12. I've heard everyone's horror stories about them melting. I think they are sensitive to detritus build up and big alk swings. Not sure but that seems to be my expierence

If it's happy there then leave it alone. Does the polyps look big and fluffy? or are they grow shorter and closer to the base?

Tom now that you mention it they are a little squatty (technical term) but they are multiplying well. Most of them I've seen have looked that way but then again I've only seen them in a few tanks. Would you say that they stretch out more in the correct light or are they naturally "squatty"? They could be multiplying to get to the lower light I guess...

I have mine growing at the bottom of my tank on the sand in medium flow and in less then a month I have gone from 1 polyp to 5 polyps.

In higher light they will grow squatty like you described but if they have lower light they will grow fat and fluffy :D you don't want it too low or they will have to reach for the light.

Kenny just curious, how deep is your tank and what kind of lighting? Where do you keep your alk?

My tank is I think 18 or 16 inches lol. Its a 40 gallon breeder. With a 2 inch sand bed. I have them under reef breeders led 24 inch fixture. I blast the tank with full spectrum for 8 hours a day then less building up and down from the 8 hours.
