trade with the new guy?

Hey all,

I am 3 months new to the chicago area and two weeks back into reef keeping. I "rescued" a 20 long reef set up that came semi-complete. The lighting is a touch low right now (two 36 watt PCs) but the coraline is doing great along with the bubble anemone, yellow polyps and TONS of red mushrooms. I plan on upgrading the lighting after i figure out and implement of sump/fug. In the mean time however I was wondering if any one would care to trade any other lower light stuff for some red mushrooms. I am also a coffee fanatic with good hookups and could sweeten any deals with a lb. or two of top shelf beans. I like my tank just fine as is but would like a little more diversity. If you have a sump/fug you made yourself it would be a super plus if you'd let me sneak a peak at it as well. I have been doing tons of reading on the DIY stuff but it would be nice to see one in person. I am located in the Ukranian village area of chicago but am more than willing to come to you.

Hey Isvagabond, I just posted some pulsing Xenia that I'm giving up for free. I'd take some of those red mushrooms in a trade. If that sounds good, I'm sure I could find a couple of other things to break up that red mushroom farm you've got there!

I've got lots of low light stuff, 5 kenya tree frags mounted, 1 large or 2 small toadstolls, 3 or 4 large green frilly mushrooms (between 6 and 8 ins. across, a very large green frogspawn that I could frag, a finger leather on a rock w/ some green star polyps. I can e-mail pics if your interested. Also I'm a coffee addict!

Wow! thanks for the response, its great to get that much support so quick. My work week goes pretty late but i am free after 5 on friday all weekend. If some time then is good for any of you PM about it and well set up a time. I wish I had a resource like this back when I had my 55 gal.

Wha?!? do I ever... I have been looking at the 30" 2x65watt lunar aqua lights with the two moon lights in it but was thinking about holding off until i got a sump going. What you have sounds like it would work just fine though, PM me about it DUX, thanks.

I have some of these fungia plates (green w/pink mouth). They're about 2-2 1/2" across. I usually sell them for $15 ea. How many shrooms could I get?

Gosh, I did not expect so many replies. I guess I'll try and and go in order of who posted first and see how long the mushrooms last. I have a 3 or 4 small rocks with wushrooms on them and a bunch of unattached ones rolling around in the tank so I'll spreed em out to those interested best I can.

Very nice red there! Most of what I have seen labled as red is closer to brown. If there are some left I have green star poylps, purple shroom, candy canes, metalic green spoted shrooms, green striped shrooms, a bunch of differant zoa too.

Hey everyone, Isvagabond came over and today for a trade and some other goodies and the shrooms are really red. Pics are spot on. He gave me some coffee also and he's a stand up guy!

I had some Xenia to unload and I was curious. They really are red! I don't know what I'll do with them, I swore to never ever add another shroom to the tank but I think these guy's are keepers!

Your to good to me Pat, I definitly recieved a healthy dose of generosity in our trade. My roommates love those Eagle eyes too, i practically had to kick em out of my bedroom. Any friend of pat's a friend of mine Jeni, I definitly save you some shrooms. I'll PM you to set something up.
