well after he got a bit too aggresive I brought the niger backto the LFS today...

They had no problem taking him back,and I got a small 3" Naso tang anda 4" foxface....

I have now changed what I wanred to do with the tank and make it a nice peacefull reef....

Later down the road I'll add a pair of clowns and a wrasse then start with the corals

The Naso may get to large for that tank. Should be in a 6 ft aquarium, they need lots of swimming room.

by the time he gets too lare I'll either have a tank 3x the size or i'll trade him in for something else...is that cool?

I have a 72 bow as well and had to FIGHT the temptation to get a 1.5-2" Naso at the LFS the other day. So small he hardly had any colour in yet. The tank size issue was one, and the fact I have a regal in there already... I need another tank!

The naso looks to be in the DT already? No QT period? IMO, tngs are prone to ICH, I would have treated for it prior to adding to the DT. Asking for trouble. Nice fish!

thx, I have no QT tank...and I check my levels a lot...I do a 10% water change every 10 days, and I hope to keep things in line as best as I can....

For a preventative (not a cure) soak your food in garlic. It has mixed reviews but Im a believer!

I agree soak all food with garlic.Have a powder brown and ick has come and gone twice now on him.I know still there but not showing.

Garlic does seem to help keep it at bay.

any fts? how long do you think before the naso needs a new home? i have a 90 long, and would love a naso but i know they get huge pics of your niger trigger?

im just starting a 170 gallon, and its gonna be just fish. do you have any problems with the fish getting alang? im wanting to get triggers as well.

well I dont have the niger anymore....he would go after the watchmans and jawfish....I have heard a blue throat is more docile...I guess...

yes I did (search my posts) I only had him for a week so he didn't grow much...cool fish for a semi agressive setup
