I'm ready to finally add a chiller to my 300gal system to pull the temp down from the 79-80 range. For simplicity I have decided on a Drop-In model to save the hassle on plumbing, pumping, etc. I intend to place the cooling coil in a baffle of my sump which should provide it with enough flow. For my application, the new Compact 1/2HP Drop-In should do the trick.
Hal (of TradeWind) has been very very helpful on the phone explaining everything to me and answering all my questions/concerns. He is really as patient as can be.
I can't comment on the chiller itself yet till I order it, but I can say that from a Customer Service/Sales perspective, they've got what it takes to make the customer feel comfortable with their products/service.
