Training Serpent Star?

I have had a serpent star for about three weeks now and he hasn't come out, and when he does, its only during the night. I know that this is normal, but is there any way to train it/teach it to come out. One suggestion was to place food in one spot near it every day in the morning, to make it come out at that time. Any other suggestions?

One of the reasons many brittle stars are nocturnal is that UV rays damage them so they hide under rocks or sand during the day. Food is the only reason they would come out of hiding.

so, just feed yuor tank with the lights on and it wil cme out for scraps. if U feed to too long after or just before the lights go off, it will be bolder. got 7 of them for a year now, cool 2 watch. love the beastys.
