So Ive had my 100G sps tank running well for over a year until I took an 8 day trip to costa rica. Upon my return my house AC had blown a fuse and temps in the house with the tank got up to 89* (tank only hit 85*). Some STN has occurred and some corals are just down right ugly and somewhat brown. I have been trying to get the tank back to stable and doing what I can.
Long story short I have a 190G in my garage that is cycled and has been running for a couple months with no fish and only Zoas and some softies. The params in the new tank seem more stable and closer to what I like than in the old tank. SO with this in mind im ready to transfer the SPS over to the new tank. Ive learned after all these years to take things slow so I have added a couple test frags which look fine over the last week or so.
Does anyone have any suggestions for acclimating or transferring corals over to a new tank for an established one? Anything would help, just a bit nervous to lose some prized pieces. Thanks
