Transferring tanks

I will be setting up a different tank and I want to put the anemone in it. The problem is that the rock in the current display has some aiptasia and bubble algae growing on them. I don't want this in the other tank. I was thinking to set up the tank with base rock and new sand with just 1 cup of live sand. Would you guys go this route?

If I do this, then I need a way to get the anemone to come off of the rock as to transfer only the anemone. Any suggestions?

Easiest way is to rub the edge of the foot with an ice cube until it pulls back then slide your finger under the foot and gently peel it up. The key is to go slow and be gentle and patient. Usually takes up to 30+ minutes to do it right.

If it's foot is in a hole, set it so that a powerhead blows it over sideways. It will get up and go for a walk in the next day or two. If you catch it wandering, it's especially easy.
