I am dreading the utter butchering of one of my childhood favorites. Michael Bay directing... now THAT'S scary.

I'm in the same boat. I still can't bring myself to watch the X-Men films.

Bay's poor track record was a red flag for me, but the reviews aren't bad so far. I doubt Siegel would have been as generous. I'll likely wait for the boot...I mean...DVD release:p

Very entertaining movie! Saw it tonight. I recommend seeing it in a digital theater though. I saw it on IMAX - man, it was blurry. Story was a bit thin, but after the first 10 minutes I was drawn into the Transformer world. I'm definitely going to see it again.

great movie for me as well. Didn't like that fact that it was all comercialized toward 1 or 2 american car companies. When bumble bee is not a bug, it's not right.

StarScream was pretty badasss.

This movie KICKED ***, It reminded me that movies are fun, IMO everything was good, nothing wrong w/ american cars, really who cares, I got the XBOX game and that is awsome too, I cant remember coming out of a theatre and being excited to tell someone about the movie, but what really got to me was that these type of movie's usually in the past show 2 min's here and 3 min's here of the main characters and then its killed by the actors, but this was all badass robots throughout the movie.

Saw it yesterday.... by far the best movie I have seen this year.... pwned spidey 3. The CGI was ridiculous in this movie... I really couldnt believe what a good job they did.

BTW... saw Die Hard on Friday... really good movie too. People who are skipping it are missing out!

My buddy dragged me to it as I thought I would hate it as well compared to my childhood. I am so glad I went!
I saw it in a HD DLP theatre and it was awesome!
My only complaint is that OP wasn't in the movie enough...I personally felt it was more about the kid. But still great fun.

Did anyone else notice the little creepy robot cursed like three times when he would get broken up? The last one was the most obvious when its' head got cut off and he said, "oh four letter word for waste".

Do you guys think the movie would be too long (and loud) for a 3 year old?

I took mine and he was frustrated within an hour into it, he seemed bored actually, but not too loud, he's been going to dodger games since 3 months old so he can deal with the sound.
My 10 year old though love every min.

I also forgot to mention that I got a call from my girl in the middle of the movie to tell me that the chamber in my fuge for the return pump was low and sucking lots of air into display, but I wasnt about to leave in the middle of this movie.

nothing wrong with american cars, just cheezy that the big three try to buy their way in.....the point is, I just missed the original characters....if the original characters were american cars and they try to change them to "foreign" cars, I would feel the same way....other than that, it still kicks butts.
