Traveling Anemone

Just started a 75 gal. tank in September, I just added a Bulb Anemone 2 weeks ago, and the thing has not stayed in one place for any length of time. All my water parameters are ok except my phosphate which is alittle high but is slowly declining. Has this anything to do with the anemone roaming?

From all that I have learned from various sources....it seems that an anem will roam until it finds a spot that suits its needs. Water flow and lighting seem to be at the top of the list. Trying to keep moving the anem to where you want it to be will ultimately stress it to death. They are not easy to keep to begin with, so the less stress the better. Some anems like their foot buried in the sand, which is what my Sebae evenyually did. Now my two percs dive in and do what comes naturally....but it took almost a month for this to occur. Patience is the key in this "hobby"....good luck.

Your phosphates has nothing to do with why your BTA is roaming. What type of lighting do you have over your tank?
