Traveling Ric?

Bought my first ric the other day. Little small pink one on a rock at LFS. Brought hmi moe put his rock halfway up the tank on some live rock. Two days later he seems to have left the rock and gone to the bottom right under where he was. Now two more days later he is on the bottom and halfway across the tank. Is it normal for a Ric to have a traveling jones?

Is he loose and floating around? Or is he actually attached to the rocks that he is moving to? If he is loose and floating, that sometimes happens, just place him in an area of calm current with some ruble to attach to.

Not normal for them to do that unless they are stressed and didn't like the spot they were in......

Try aquamend for a cheap, effective way to keep your coral in one place. You can pick it up at a Home Depot.
Except that it doesn't work on corallimorphs. They slime and float away. Epoxy works well for hard corals though.

I would let it wander around until it finds a spot it likes. If it's moving, then it obviously doesn't like something about where it was. If you try to confine it to any one area, it will just try to move again. With shrooms (thought it may be a pain in the butt) it's really best to just let them go where they want. Other wise you'll just end up with a very sad coral that may just shrink away into nothingness.
