Traveling Xenia

You guys should get a kick out of this. A little crab in our tank recently upgraded his shell. Whenever I make a frag of Xenia or Anthelia, I like to put it on a seashell or something that looks more natural than a frag plug. The last time he upgraded, he picked up a shell with a frag of blue xenia on it.

He's having a fun little crab time, but the xenia doesn't seem to be enjoying the ride so much.

what kind of hermit is that? theres tons of them in a river just off the atlantic by my house. I picked up a couple but someone told me they will eventually eat corals so put them back mid - quarantine.

Yah, It looks like the one's I inherited. The biggest one is in a 4" long shell. They were given to me by someone who picked em up somewhere off the Gulf of Mexico.

He's smaller than he looks in the picture, maybe 3/4". He came off the beach in South Carolina; I really don't know what kind he is. Pretty well behaved little guy - pretty much just cleans the corals and sand, and doesn't try to eat snails. Eventually he'll get too big and we'll trade him off, but for now he's not a troublemaker.
