Travis and Jessica's 400G Build

Is it there yet?

We pick it up on Monday. Getting close.

Just bought 2 Harbor Freight stores out of their dual suction cups, had to buy 3 singles also because they didn't have enough of the doubles. Also hit HomeDepot and grabbed 2 appliance dollies. I think we are ready. :lmao:

One thing I was considering is the temp is supposed to by a high of 25 on Monday so the tank will be pretty cold, the suction cups prob aren't going to do much good with that cold glass. I seen someone mention they put a tarp over there tank and threw a space heater inside set to 50 degrees for an hour or something so warm it up before using the suction cups. We plan on doing that same thing to ours to warm it up. Also I think we only really plan to use the suction cups to set the tank inside the trim, because it should be a pretty tight fit.

saw your post on my thread too, so exciting Monday will be, at least is should be warmer than this week was, are you planning on taking it right onto the stand then after you warm it up?

Going to be an exciting Monday that's for sure. If it was still -30 we would be in trouble.

Yes right in the house and onto the stand. We are going to back the truck up right to the front porch, the tank will come off the truck onto the front porch. Then from there we will flip the tank front side down onto the appliance dollies so we can roll the tank through the front doorway. Once in the front entryway we just need to roll the tank over to the stand about 10ft away, flip it back right side up and then suction cup lift it up onto the stand. Sounds easy at least :spin2:...

good plan, make sure you have something to totally protect that front glass, stretch wrap is tough and grabs the dollies pretty well also, bets of luck I'm sure it will go smooth if you know enough to hold off on beers until after it is safely up on your stand :twitch:

Thanks for the stretch wrap trick we have a huge roll of that laying around from the move. Gonna put blankets over the dollies to for front glass protection.

:lol2: That is the game plan, no beers are opening until the tank is safely up on the stand!!! Then we can have some fun after that

Tank looks really nice. Can't wait to see it on the stand.
When you unwrap it can you get some detail pics of the bracing and the overflow wier area? I am almost ready to order my tank and I am leaning towards age to build it.
How is the back covered? Is it one solid black vinly piece?

Thanks

Thanks!

I will be sure to get a bunch of good photos posted. AGE has been great. The back is a black tint like material that can be removed if we want to change it up.

...well!? :)

Ask and you shall receive!

Love that rear overflow. That baby's gonna look sweet!
And Ditto.... well?????

Thanks! Ok, ok, its update time...

Not seeing the tank up here yet is making me nervous... it's not even my tank and I am nervous. Hope everything on the move went smoothly

No worries, been busy today... Ah who am I kidding, been busy drooling over this bad boy LOL...

See above, LOL...

****Update****

Everything went perfect!!! Tank is sitting safely on the stand, nobody got hurt, and it really went extremely smooth!

Before we go any further we have to throw a huge thank you/shout out to all of our Family, Friends and Neighbors that all took the time out of their busy schedules to come over and help us out. No way it could have been done without you guys, THANK YOU !!!

Now onto the photos!
