Treating nems water change question

Those of you who have treated anemones with cipro before I have a question. How do you go about changing 100% of the water? Do you leave the nems in the tank and drain the water and refill quickly or pull them out then do the water change?

I usually do 50% especially if the foot is planted. But if I need an almost 100% water change, Then I do 2 50% changes

I siphoned out as much water as I could get, call it 98%, left the Nem right where it was. They can be exposed to air at times in the wild, and the couple minutes for a water change did not seem to effect it negatively in any way.

I usually leave like 1-1.5" of water just enough so the nem is still in water which I suppose is 90-95%

I've done all of the above when treating my crispa.
But once, when the tank seemed to be too slimed up I just set up a new clean HT and moved the anemone to it. That may be the best way if you truly want to do a 100% change.

Agreed! Two 50% water changes don't equal 100%. It would be more like 75% of the original water after two 50% changes.
