treating with cupramine?

Measure the copper level daily and dose as necessary to maintain the proper copper level.

Unlike most forms of copper used to medicate in aquariums, Cupramine isn't very likely to precipitate out, so as long as you don't have any carbon, purigen, or scavenging resins anywhere in your filter you probably won't have to add any more than the directions tell you. Definitely test, but be aware that most tests won't detect the copper in Cupramine so you'll need the Seachem copper test kit.

One bit of caution is that Seachem had issues with their copper test kit and reference samples. Kit did not read copper, even though the reference sample tested ok. So depending on when the test kit was manufactured you may have issues. I use Red Sea copper test kit. It only goes up to 0.4 ppm, but that is still at the effective level.
