My advice is to start it a low dose and increase it very slowly all the while checking your parameters.

I never have but it has been a commom occurence with some folks upping the dose too quickly.

Ok after somewhat skimming through the entire thread I have decided to dose vitamin c. But I am still not getting the math part. I have a 65gal with a 20gal sump. I think all together it is around 70 gallons of water with rock and everything. I have mostly zoas. How much do I need to add and what kind of vitamin c do I need?

If you are treating for problems: Start adding 1/4 tsp for 3 days & raise it by 1/2 tsp every 3 days, until you get to 1tsp. Dose 2x/day for a month & see the difference.

Does anyone here that is out of town on a weekly basis dose VC? Since I travel for 3 or 4 days at a time, I'm unable to add VC on a daily basis. Just checking to see if anyone has had success with a similar schedule. Usually people here have creative solutions.
