Treatment for live rock

I purchased a large 27 pound of live rock that is has hair algie , GPS and some other macro algie on it, I like to remove all of this growth, what is the best way to treat this live rock? Bleach ?

Soak it in fresh water... not to sure on that one. So you want to kill the LR. If that's the case just leave it out of the water.

I like to kill the hair and other macro algie as well as the GSP with the minimum amout of time to recycle the live rock and put it back into my tank.

Give it a good brushing to clean up the surface and then let it sit in an aerated bucket of saltwater for a few weeks; no light b ut make sure there is good circulation otherwise it will die. (and the smell) it you have a small protein skimmer use that to remove the dead matter otherwise change the water out 50% at a time every 2 - 3 days and that should take care of it.
