My foxface seems to have come down with some ich.
This is him one day one that I noticed the spots

Day 2 he had almost zero spots. then around day 4 I noticed a whole lot of them and he was barely eating.

I have since pulled him from that tank and move him over to my biocube which is pretty much empty. Just has sand and a couple small rocks maybe a few inverts that I missed when I upgraded to the 72. Someone in my local reef club said they had luck using

So I've started treating the tank with that last night. I've since read that unless it's copper it really doesn't work. He now hasn't eaten in like two days. He comes out when I fed the tank and swam around in the food grabbed a couple pieces but spit them out. Garlic hasn't helped him at all.
I know I need to grab the other fish and mpve them to the biocube so I can eradicate the ich now but I haven't been able to catch them yet. I know I'll have to remove sand an rocks if I run copper. I also plan on upping my temp and lowering my salinity over the next week. Just wanted to make the move as easy as possible for my foxface. So long question short, should I switch to copper?

don't use both hypo and copper. A lot of the answers to your questions are covered in the stickies at the top of this forum and covered in great detail. Read those first, and we can help you with remaining questions.
